Around the Boxcar offices, when we talk about our team, we don’t just mean those of us who work for the company. We mean everyone with a vested interest in our success, from employees to property owners to the commuters who depend on us every day. Today, I’m proud to announce the release of our app, Boxcar 2.0. This was an amazing collaboration between each of those groups. We’ve been listening to the feedback we have collected from parkers and bus riders over the past few months, and we think you’ll be happy with the changes we’ve made.
So, what’s different about this new version?
Well, once you open the app, you’ll see we’ve got a new look - the same Boxcar functionality you love, but in a sleeker, easier-to-use package. Any current reservations you have will be displayed on the home screen. You’ll also see your Favorites - the reservation options you use most, whether it’s a particular bus or your favorite parking spot - as soon as you open the app, to make rebooking easier than ever.
Our new map view for parking displays the cost of each spot right on the map. No more clicking back and forth, deciding between distance and cost - it’s all right there, on one screen!
You’ll also be able to filter parking by date. If you need a spot on a specific day, but don’t have a lot preference, we’ll show you everything that’s available so you can make the best choice. And, parking listings now include the distance from the train station, so you will know exactly how far you are going to walk.
There’s lots more that’s been updated, as well, from viewing past or current charges to listing a parking space, it’s all at your fingertips. Boxcar 2.0 will be rolling out to all of our customers over the next week - please give it a try, and let us know what you think!
